Tazin Banu

Tazin Banu is the Founder of the Bengali Mental Health Movement, pioneering initiatives since 2018. With expertise in racial/cultural identity, intergenerational trauma, and gender/sexual identity, Tazin focuses on providing culturally sensitive mental health support to the Bengali community. As a licensed psychotherapist in community mental health, she brings invaluable experience from her work within New York City’s hospital network and nonprofit sector. Committed to advocacy and social justice, Tazin empowers Bengali individuals by raising awareness and facilitating access to vital resources.
